020413 YOZOH - Nostalgia (Guitar Tab) pt. 2

This is still subject to minor editing (as is the case with all of my tabs), so I’ll be checking this song out regularly still to iron out the kinks if I see any. The bridge is still something I’m not too sure of for both sides, but it’s the best I can do for now. The lead guitar part hasn’t been started yet so it won’t be for another while.

This is the right side guitar of the song, which has the higher harmony but remains pretty similar to the left side. You’ll see that a lot of the parts are either exactly the same as the left one or just slightly different. I think this side is a bit more difficult due to the awkward fret hand positioning. If you’re playing with someone else or doing a multi-track recording, you could get away with not playing the E string for the first half of the intro/verse part, since that bass note is already being played on the left side with relative ease.

030913 Edit: Capo at 2. Instead of playing the 7th fret of the E string in the intro and verse, you can play an open note on the A string. The rest of the song isn’t affected by the capo. PROBLEM SOLVED.

010413 YOZOH - Nostalgia (Guitar Tab) pt. 1

A relatively old song (2008), but a super good one. It was covered by Ga-In from her recent promotion but the original one I feel is much better. I haven’t gotten around to listening to Yozoh’s other songs though, so if there are any suggestions, let me know.

Prior to the finals period, I had cycled through CLAZZIQUAI too much already, and metal got me too worked up in the middle of the night. This song, along with Talk by 10cm, 강아지의 꿈 and 오래전 그 멜로디 by No Reply were pretty much on loop while I was studying. Those are all songs I want to learn eventually, so look forward to them!

This song has a total of three guitars playing: a lower harmony (left side), high harmony (right side) and a lead guitar playing on top of it as of 3:24 and onwards. I plan on posting them individually because I’m not quite finished with the right side and haven’t started with the lead guitar yet; the left side is kind of the “core” of the guitar layers though if that makes sense.

There’s basically two main parts in the song that are always repeated: the intro is repeated in Eric’s rap part, and the verse is pretty much played throughout the entire song but with variation on how it ends. The tab seems super long because I left all the repeated parts to avoid confusion and to be able track where exactly it changes. Overall, this song is a lot of repetition but still pretty hard to play.

As for the tab’s accuracy, everything should be spot on EXCEPT the bridge which I can’t make out at all in the song. For some reasons, all of the guitar layers get mixed up at that part and I can’t pan it out too well, so the bridge’s first half is just what I think sounds right. There are absolutely no other guitar tabs I could check with and only one cover on Youtube that wasn’t useful to me with this song.

I think it’s a tab that has been pretty high in demand since the song’s release; so any likes/shares to spread it out would be appreciated! I’ll get around to posting the other parts as soon as I can. And of course, if you’re covering it, send me a link so I can see it. :>

030913 Edit: Capo-ing at 2 makes playing this song so much easier. The chord transitions will be a lot smoother AND most importantly, instead of playing the 7th fret of the E string in the intro, you can play an open note on the A string.
